The following funds have been created to support the various philanthropic needs of the community. All of these funds are permanently endowed.
Unrestricted Fund:
The Unrestricted Fund enables the Cadillac Area Community Foundation to respond to changing community needs in order to enhance the quality of community life. Gifts to the Unrestricted Fund of the Foundation provide increased grant-making opportunities to address the broadest range of local needs. Both Unrestricted and Field-of-Interest funds are the heart of a foundation. They are essential to meet growing requests for grants. Grant applications for this fund are accepted twice a year. All grant requests are reviewed and selected by the Foundation's Board of Trustees, which are community volunteers.
Field-of-Interest:
A Field-of Interest Fund offers permanent support for a particular field where funds are not committed to just one organization. You may choose to support a general area of concern, such as the arts, education, health and human services, homelessness, conservation or youth. Twice a year a committee recommends potential grants to the Board of Trustees. The Board then makes grants to the most appropriate programs and organizations serving the Cadillac area. Field-Of-Interest Funds within the Cadillac Area Community Foundation are:
- Youth Field of Interest Fund - Youth Grants
and Mini-Grants for Educators are awarded from the
income earned from this fund.
